1. Notice Inviting Tender

1. Sealed tenders are invited from reputed, experienced firms having experience in maintaining PCs and accessories, for the work " Maintenance Contract for maintaining 83 Personal Computers/Server, Dot matrix printers/inkjet printers, UPS and accessories of various makes, models and brands at Tuticorin Port Trust” for a period of one year at an estimated cost of Rs.3.40 lakhs.
2. Tender documents can be had from the office of the Deputy Director(edp), Tuticorin Port Trust on all working days during working hours from 02-04-2008 to 15-04-2008 on application and on production of cash receipt for Rs.520/- (VAT 4% included) obtained from the Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer, Tuticorin Port Trust, Tuticorin-628 004 towards cost of tender documents (Non-refundable). Request submitted by mail should include a demand draft for Rs.620/- on any Nationalised / Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of the Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer, Tuticorin Port Trust, payable at Tuticorin. The Port will not be responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents sent to the applicant through post/ courier. Telegraphic/ Fax/ e-mail request for Tender document will not be entertained. The filled in tender documents in sealed cover superscribing tender number and due date will be received by the Deputy Chairman, Tuticorin Port Trust, Tuticorin-628004 upto 15:00 hrs. on 16-04-2008.
3. An amount of Rs.6800/- (Rupees Six Thousand and Eight hundred only) is to be paid by the tenderers along with tenders towards E.M.D. The mode of payment will be either by demand draft or Pay order issued by Nationalised/Scheduled bank drawn in favour of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer, Tuticorin Port Trust, Tuticorin-628 004 payable at Tuticorin. No other mode of payment will be accepted. Tender documents shall be purchased in the name of the party who actually submits the tender.
4. Tenders will be received upto 15.00 hours on 16--04-2008 and will be opened on the same day at 15.30 hours. Tenders received after the due date and time will be summarily rejected.
